Arctic’s story is one of classic American grit. In 1986, Chuck and Peggy Potter, both avid scuba divers, recognized a need for reliable high-pressure air solutions. Taking a brave step forward, they founded their own compressor company in Silver Bay, MN. Their commitment to quality and customer service quickly established the company as a trusted provider in the industry.
The business evolved into a second-generation operation when their son, Steven Potter, joined the team. Driven by a vision to expand manufacturing and technical capabilities, Steven launched Arctic Compressor. Today, under Steven’s leadership, we continue to innovate, providing SCBA containment fill stations and compressors that meet the world’s highest safety and performance standards.
